意见栏　请重新启用欧南园地铁站厕所（2008-11-17）

我为所有进出欧南园地铁站的搭客请求当局重新启用其原有的厕所。

我不明白有关当局当初为何决定把欧南园地铁站外的厕所改为精品店。这是一个转换站，又有很多老人与病人在此站下车，前往中央医院看病。估计他们遇到“三急”时，走到医院要30分钟；寻找站内的厕所，也有如走迷宫，出来时才知厕所在底层尾端，而且需步行20分钟；如果走去珠光大厦，上一楼，或下一楼，也要20分钟。平常人三急时都会觉得难忍，更何况一些老弱病残者。

My Thought:

I think that the management of Outram Park MRT Station is inconsiderate and selfish. They are money minded – they converted the public toilets into a shop and rented out.

I know that under the Building Control Act of Singapore: How many people in the building and there must have how many toilets. They will in direct proportional.

But why the authority of Singapore would allow the Outram Park MRT Station violates the Building Control Act? And many others (such as shopping centres) can’t? Both are public places.
