Preservative Materials In Processed Meat Causes Diabetes

We know that most eating meat is not good for our health, because it will cause high cholesterol causes heart disease and other. But a new meat-analysis was led by Dagfinn Aune from the University of Oslo conducted jointly from Norway and the US also shows that most processed meat consumption will cause developing risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 41 percent.

The general conclusions of the study suggested that: "High intake of total meat increased the risk of diabetes by 17 percent, while red meat and processed meat were associated with 21 and 41 percent increases in diabetes risk."

The main cause why processed meats would be very risky to diabetes is due to processed meats with preservatives containing dangerous substances nitrate. According to the study showed that the nitrate will lead to a functioning of beta cells that produce insulin will be poisoned, so that it inhibits the production of insulin itself. Insulin function is to transfer the blood glucose into cells so that glucose can be used as an energy source. When insulin does not exist or is not functioning there will be a buildup of glucose / sugar in the blood and causing the diabetes.
